Most of the time before like in the morning or after my car has been sitting for a while. When I go and try and put it in Reverse to back out, it is very hard and I have to kind of force it into gear. Is that because the car is not warmed up or is it something else
Hi ! is your car equiped with a GM 5 TIPRRONIC transmission ? if yes be cerfull ,this trannys are simply "P of S'. Men I do not want to freak you out ,but expect that one day you will loose reverse gear ( broken drum ) and it wiil cost you big $$$$$$, thats common problem on this cars with GM 5 -TIPTRONIC, looks like you already have a small crack on the drum inside the tranny. Main cause of that- shifting from reverse to drive while car is still moving or from drive to reverse in the same situation- NEVER DO THIS ,PLEASE !!!, always stop car completly. Best regards.

I have experienced the same thing. My car is currently in the shop ghead
canshaft sensor went bad... But I will mention this problem to them as well, and I will let you know what they say.
After you start the car, try letting the clutch out while your in neutral first, that will get the gears spinning, then try to put the car in reverse. Sometimes the gears will not be lined up and since the car is first started and hasnt been moved, none of the gears inside are spinning and will not line up properly. I wouldnt force it into gear because you can damage the syncro's. Let us know what you find out.
