Service Engine Soon/Check Engine Light

2002 325i, lite comes on for a few days, then goes out for awhile. Once in a while, the engine idles rough, but not very often. Used a Creader and it displayed "Lauch, - - - -, E" and cylcled over with the same result each time. How do I figure out the code if nothing displays? Oil is full, coolant is full, windshield washer is full, brake fluid is full, power steering is full. WTF? Please help me! UGGGHHH!

I have an 03 and I've had all kinds of issues with it. I find that the SES light comes on mostly due to emmissions type problems. Oddly enough once the SES light came on because I filled gas with the engine running. Recently though my SES light came on because there was a crack in my intake hose leading to the throttle body (i had a code though). Hope it resolves!

What should we do for this engine matter in our
car + any more spamming that is no help leads to a ban - your sig has been allowed long enough... understand??
