Self leveling headlights

Hey there everyone, just joined the site 2day and wanna thank everone with the knowlege of helping the few of us who need it.

So i just bought a 2002 325xi with roughly 85k miles on it about 10 months ago. I was an Audi salesman for 4 years prior to this so i am kinda knowlegable but I just had a mechanic (non certified) replace the passenger side wheel bearing for me and when i got my car back the headlights won't self level when i start the car like they normally do and seem to point to the ground now when i'm driving.

He did mention to me that he took the whole strut assembly down because the bold behind the brakes wouldn't come loose and he didn't wanna break it and have to replace it.

If i'm not mistaken i believe the hight level sensor is on the passenger side near the front end??? is there a chance he messed it up during this process? and can i fix it myself without having to go back to this guy?

First of all, welcome to the Bimmerwerkz family. I would check the adjusters firstly. Im assuming you have the xenon/projecters headlights, in which the adjusters would be found inside the headlights themselves. These are extremely fragile and can be broken with any wrong succession of movements of the xenon / headlight assembly. I will try to post some pics on how to disconnect and get inside the headlights soon. Only thing is, it will be for my car 99' E39. But i'll show you what to look for in your car also. ( hopefully tonight ) It's night-time in NY. You will need to buy the adjusters if broken , which are plastic, and it would probably run you about $25. I'll help you research that further after you get back to me.
