I have some rims that I’m interested in buying for my car. I haven’t checked it out fully yet but I believe that the offset of the new rims are different from the factor rims. If I were to buy the new rims will it cause any performance implication? Will it cause components (such as wheel bearings) to wear out quicker.
yes on both. there is a marginal benefit to wider track. there is a huge risk of wearing out bearings within 20 kmiles if the offset is really off (1.5 cm and above).
