I have a 2000 323i with 15"rims and I would like to upgrade them to 17" or 18" rims. What tire combination and rim off set will work the best for my car?
i always thought they came with 16" stock, 17" for sport package.
personally, i would go to for 18"; a perfect balance. or you can go all out and get 19" but nothing over that.
tire wise, i recommend michelin pilot sports. if you are on a budget, pirelli p7k supersports are very good for the price you pay, and they last a long time.
wow, i don't even remember the e46's ever having 15's. personally, i would go with 18's. i will be putting some 18's on mine. just don't know what brand yet. i think you would be most happy with the michelin pilot sports.
I would go for BBS or HRE. HRE are great looking wheels and very strong too but a little expensive. BBS are very tough, straight from Germany, and aren't too expensive. www.tirerack.com is the best site to find wheels.
I also had 15 inch rims on mine. I went to the Tirerack web site and bought 18 inch wheels 225/40/zr 18 Tires and wheels all for about a grand. I use 15 inchers for winter now. www.tirerack.com

Mille Miglia Avia 1 piece . I think they have discontinued 18 inchers in that style but they have a updated Avia 2 multi-piece in 18 and 19 inch sizes. I have Kumho tires that were priced reasonabley and are decent tires.
