Can anyone comment on the following?:

I tested an E90 320d today (running on 17' rims) and was surprised to find the ride to be much worse than in my E46.

Are the 17' run-flats to blame, or have there been some more fundamentally spine-jarring alterations?

ghead tyres. everyone says so in mags. it makes sense, the runflats have heavily reinforced sidewalls. ghead

Thanks for the responses.
I moaned and they admitted that besides the tyres, the test car also had lowered "sports" suspension.
Great handling, but NOT relaxing if you need to plug along motorways a couple of hours a day.
