Retractable Headlight Washer

When you pull the right hand lever foreward to clean your windshild....it automatically washes your headlights too....you too can try it out...it works on all the bimmer.

What my salesperson told me was that it only works after you use the windshield washer several time, i.e., one headlight wash for every 3 windshield washes.

You may have to have the headlights on for this to activate....not sure, but that's the case on our MINI

I think it has something to do with the rain sensor. I was able to activate the rain sensor but not the washer.

this should NOT be dependent on the sensor.

i think:

in the morning: turn on the car. turn on the lights. pull the lever for winshield wipers towards you.

you should get the spray in two bursts, about a second each.

if you pull again right afterwards, it will not spray, as someone said in prior posts.

That's right --- the headlight washer only activates when the headlights are on (not daytime running lights).

I haven’t been able to get my headlight washers to work and I suspect that I don’t have any. I bought my ’02 325xiT last month and I’ve tried all of the above. Multiple windshield washes with the headlights on. Nothing.

You have to have the cold weather package

It works with daytime running lights

Comes on about every third windshield wash
