By pulling too far forward in a couple parking lot spaces the plastic shielding
on the forward driver's side wheel welll became damaged and detached. This explosed my ambient temperature sensor which came off during a drive along a freeway. So now, I am venturing forth to fix it and I'd like to avoid the outrageous rates of BMW technicians and do it myself.

Does anyone have any experience with the ambient temperature sensor
on the E46's? Do you have any information or tips to pass forward?
Any guidance would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

I have replaced mine once before, and all I had to do was strip the wires, and crimp them to the new ones coming from the sensor. I was missing the whole plastic ground cover piece that it used to be attached to so I just zip tied it to the front bumper. Good Luck
