Does anyone know how to Remove bmw e46 speed limiter, do i need to purchase something, if so where do i get this equipment from.
Thanks
please let me know asap
I dont mean to jack the thread, but at what speed does the E46 governor kick in? Seems like i have gone about 110 and still havent seen it; I would love to go test it out, but going that fast on the highways in my immediate area is like painting a bullseye on your car; a cop will definently show up and pull my ass over.
BMW quotes 155MP/H (250km/h) for the 330Ci. That is limited.
A buddy in Germany has his 330Ci de-limited and says, top speed without the limiter is 255km/h (160Mp/h), though this is not radar proven. :P
Interesting thing is... the BMW 6-speed manual gearbox (standard..NOT ZHP) is theoritcally capable of 320km/h wen redlined at 6400RPM in 6th gear. Only thing stopping it..is the lack of wack(power) and a to a lesser extent, reodynamics.
Well after you buy it for $350+/- you stick it on your computer port located just under the hood. The instructions that come with it recommend you to also use a battery booster to maintain th ebattery level at a certain voltage, can't remember off the top of my head. The instructions tell you what exactly to do. Horse Power gains are much like an intake, not a whole lot, but noticable. You can also couple them together and get one larger increase somewhere's around 10hp.
