Thanks for your reply! I went to many different alarm installers today, and its not really an alarm, it just has the starter kill on it and makes the horn honk. It does not protect doors/hood/trunk or glass. I called Silencer corporation and they said that the alarm on my car can only be bought and installed on my car from the dealership as an aftermarket upgrade to the existing keyless entry. So...I called BMW USA and the tech there said that there is really no way that it could harm my car or interfere with the CPO warranty. Silencer Corp. basically said that it was more/less installed on the car at the specific BMW dealership it was sold from new as a demonstrator to show how the Starter kill works. Silencer said it is wired directly into the factory keyless entry and in the case of the remote battery ever dieing, the silencer alarm would sound the horn when you unlock the door with the key and would not let the car start until you put the key in the ignition, turned it to the own position, and hit the small button on the back of the alarm module itself underneath the sterring column. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK????? SHOULD I JUST LEAVE IT ALONE, OR TRY TO HAVE SOMEONE REMOVE IT????? Please let me know. B)
