My (former) mechanic put on cheap front brake rotors that only lasted a month. They were replaced under warranty but have done the same thing since my new mechanic pointed out that a caliper is seizing/sticking/etc. I want to do it right this time. What brand of calipers and rotors do you recommend other than BMW? My car is a 2004 325xi with 160K miles and I can't afford OEM at this point in time.
Another website tells me that that ATE makes the OEM calipers, hoses, and master cylinder. They aren't sure who makes the rotors on my car but that Zimmerman is OEM on M3's and made in Germany. Any truth to this?
We have some really good brake rotors for your BMW on CARiD. There is a wide range rotors and pads starting with standard OE quality up to advanced performance brakes. if you are looking for something reliable I would recommend you to take a look at PowerStop or EBC brakes here: 2004 BMW 3-Series Performance Brakes | Pads, Rotors, Calipers
