rear suspension damage

y'all!

i just replaced my antiroll bars. the metal supports for the bar in the rear were almost broken off!!

just as the subframe failures, this seems to be a very weak point of the e46. i did purchase weld-in metal ends from turner motorsports, and had them installed, which (tms says) solves the problem for ever.

it seems that the rear suspension cannot take u.s. style potholes: i am wondering if anyone has seen this failure as well.

What anti-roll bars? Are these the same as the lower control arms?

no. anti-roll bar or sway bar is the piece that links right to left, and prevents the wheel from "rolling over" sideways, in the direction of centrifugal force in turns.

it serves no wheel locating role, unlike the control arms.
