 Really stuck, please help
I have a 2000 323i 2.5l Hatchback, it was running really rough and finally gave up, not revving over 2k, no idle. I had dtcs for the cam sensors, multiple cyl misfires, and all six individual misfires. I replaced the cam sensors and it runs better but still has misfires on 4-5-6 only, with no other dtcs present. I have installed plugs and swapped the coils with no effect on the dtcs. It will rev higher now but is not driveable, and sounds like a timing issue with backfires through the throttle body. Anybody wish to hazard a guess? I just bought the car and have been working on this for a bit now, I know the car and it used to run like a top, really a fun little car. thanks, jody |
