Anyone know how these things work followed instructions in Handbook, but never wiped my windsreen. Where is the sensor, Is there an on/off switch, Is it expensive to sort out if its duff?
On the E38 7series the sensor is mounted on the inside of the windscreen above the centre rear view mirror, it uses a reflected infra red beam to detect water o nthe windscreen. It is turned on using the wiper stalk in the first position above off.
Not sure if its the same on your car.
