was driving along listening to radio not at a very lould level when for no reason it started playing at full blast . now when i turn it on it plays at full blast and at that level only so know have to leave radio off . anybody else had this prob

I had a similar problem with mine. The volume control just went bad.

It wasn't hard in the E30, but after market stereos are an easy fit in that car.

Hi,
Just purchased my first BMW - 2001 330xi with 100,000 miles and all is great! BUT also had this volume at full loudness. Couldn't figure out why it suddenly did this. Grabbed a can of WD40 and sprayed the volume knob and every part nearby I could get the plastic tube spray into.
It did the trick. Must have had dirt/dust short the connection inside the volume control somewhere.

Does anyone know where I can get a PDF of the Radio Manual? I have the BMW Business radio (no navigation) and 6-CD changer in the truck...??
