Radaitor Warning light v reg 318i

Hi,

I am intermittently getting the "radiator warning" light coming on while driving, I have topped the coolant up a few times but it still comes on. I got a mechanic friend to have a look but he couldn't find any leak anywhere. Given that I got a new raditor fitted last year, dioes this sound like a real problem or a fault sensor of some sort. If the it is the latter, what's the best way of dealing with it?

PS The temperature on the thermostat is exacty the same as usual, it goes nowhere near the red

Update - have filled the radiatir tank right up to top and nothing is dripping however when enginine is running, there appears to be a deliberate drip from soem kind of vent in the radiator. Is this an overlow of some sort or a problem?
