I am new and have a big problem and can't find the answer anywhere. My 2001 325Ci has a dead battery and dead key. I cannot poop the trunk to jump the car. Any suggestions on how I can get in the trunk to where the battery is? Thanks
I'm not sure about the 3series, but there should be a + terminal in the front engine bay where you can jump start the car. You don't have to get to the battery itself. Read the manual for details.
The area that I highlighted with the red box, if you look closly you will see a black box next the the well there with a large red wire going to it. Open this box for the + jump terminal. The red arrow is pointing to where the - terminal is, which is just a nutand bolt attached to the well behind said box.
You can also use the key manualy to open the trunk by inserting it into the trunk lock and turning the key.

pretty sure its for the cars that are right hand drive, the brake booster is located over there as well as the ebox on RHD vehicles...the battery would make sense too though so who knows
