Question for my hardtop 'vert 'festers

I've got a piece of foam trim/gasket hanging from one side of the hardtop roof and I want to know if it is normal. If you can, open your roof partway and on the base of the passenger side C-pillar (where the metal part of the roof touches the body), right underneath that I have a black foam tube (not hollow) about the size and diameter of pencil that sticks out from a bottom channel on the C-pillar in the roof about 6". It kinda hangs down when the roof opens and closes. It's solid so it's not a drain tube, and there isn't a corresponding one on the driver's side (at least not on my car). I was wondering if this was normal or do I have a gasket coming loose.
