A question I posted on the Audi TT Forum

Although I have a deposit on a 325i, I still have my Audi TT and posted the following question on the Audi TT Forum:

"In hot weather, after I come home, I always raise the hood to let the engine cool off. I may be overly cautious, but when I raise the hood the heat that comes out of the engine compartment feels like a thermite bomb went off in a pizzeria. How many of you do that too?"

Does anybody on the BMW Forum do that as well?

There are molecules exploding under that there hood. Heat is a byproduct of such explosions. Yes, that is overly cautious. I do it to. Usually only after hard driving, but when you love a car, you do stupid things that aren't necessary...
