Question about NAVI

I have a '99 bimmer and I want to install a Navigation system.I am doing this because I want to save the standard look of the car instead of this IVA-D300R/RB Mobile Media Station, for example. The only reason to install a Navi system is that i want to watch tv.Can you give me advice how to install it.If there are photos it will be great.I think that e39 navi is also suitable.Thanx

Hi,

you cannot just install the monitor. I am sorry. I hope you have the computer board that goes with that widescreen, along with all the wiring that you have to do. This is, after all, a E46 forum, not a E39. So I am not sure that will fit, but I don't see why not. With that being said, enjoy ALL the tips these people give you:

good luck!

As miz said, you have to install the nav computer too. What is the model you are installing this into? You may be able to do some creative wiring and install the Nav computer under a seat or in the glove-box.

I'm with '99 e46.You can see my photos in the album.I also have photos of my dashboard,so you can see the space for the navi.
I guess I will need a whole new sector from the dashboard
