Putting 330i Hids Into A 325i

On Friday, Zak (EcianIce), me, and a few friends stopped by the dealership to pick up a part for my car. While we were there, Zak inquired if the stock HIDs from a 330i would fit in his 2003 325i. They said it would fit, but it would cost about $7k in parts, for controls and such, not including labor.

We were floored. $7,000 to upgrade the headlights. You could get a dinan supercharger for that. =/

Did any of your friends call this fool out? Hell, the bi-xenon option on bmwusa.com is only 700.00 bucks.

Countless people have upgraded from halogen to stock xenon lights for cheap, especially when getting the projectors used.

Just more horrible information being passed on from a dealer..........

My 05 325ci's bi-xenon with adaptive light cost $800.00.
It shouldn't cost $7000 for parts or whatnot.. they probably
want to put projectors on it when actually you can just get
D2S bulbs from an S2000 or RX-8 .. if you already have
HID wiring.

Assumin you already have HID but want the more BLUISH look.

My 04 Mazda 3 had HID but it emitted a super white light and I
wasn't too happy with it so I asked around and turns out you can
just replace with a higher light temperature xenon bulb. So I bought
RX-8 bulbs. $170 each. Works fine. Better color.
