Does anyone know where I can find this? I know a lot of them have a red push button, but I like this black button better, especially with the titanium/aluminum ring around it. It'll flow much better with my interior. Is there a BMW part number for this?
I just got a response from the dealer. They said that this particular start button is used on the new e90's and the new 1 series. They use transponders to start the cars and will not work with our e46's.
I wonder if there is a way to change out the button and ring and use the z8 button retrofit (which I know will work) to make it work using this style?
I just my Z8 button, and wiring does anyone know of a housing that will plug into this switch ,it has no listing of it on the BMW dealerships computer. thanks X65
This is a 5 year old thread bro. Please keep that in mind prior to posting.
Thank You!
yes, I wasn't aware of that , even so when i do a mod i want perfection, as cool as Z8 mod is, there is always a way to make better/ simpler . I'll keep looking. X65
