I bought a 2003 325i two weeks ago and I remember that the side view passenger mirror automatically tilts downward when the car is put in reverse.

Now, it stopped doing it and I don't know if I changed a setting or if it is a mechanical problem.

Could somebody shed some light on how I may have accidentally changed the setting?

Thanks

Anthony

not sure if it has anything to do with it. but i have my mirrors set way out to the sides so i can see cars comming up on my blind spot, and the passenger side one diesn't tilt down anymore in reverse.

maybe theres a limit to where the mirror can be? not sure.

if anyone knows, please share.

In order for the mirror to tilt down when in reverse you must make sure the mirror selector button (next to the 4 way joystick that actually moves the morrors) is pushed to the driver side morror position. If you leave the mirror selector on the passenger side mirror it will not tilt down when you switch to reverese.
