I'm having a problem with my driver side electric window, basically when its completely down I have to play around with the button (sometimes for about 5 mins) to get the window back up. Although if its doesn't go down completely it does back up first time.
Do you think its the electric window buttons which need replacing? Or is it the motor as all other windows are perfect, and no problems except the drivers side.
maybe a computer issue? need to be reset or something?

maybe.
or it could very possibly be your window regulator starting to go out. one just went out in my bosses' '01 330i as they are a very common failure in the e46. about $80 at bavauto.com and very easy to do yourself. lemme know if you need help.
I have a 95 BMW 318is, I just had the starter replaced which required us disconnecting the battery, now my passenger side windo will only go up 1/4 way. The driver side did the same thing but we some how managed to get that one to go up. Any ideas? There must be a reset or something.
Have seen problems a few times where window has trouble going back up when it is all of the way down. Definately check the window regulator. I would take the door panel off and then operate the window.
