Probably buy 04 325ci - have Q's

Serious about buying 04 325ci conv w/auto and 76k but very clean.

I'll be a first time BMW owner!!

What can I expect, anything I need to have checked out before buying?

Should I buy a warranty and etc. ?

Does the car have all its service records?

It's at a local Imported Car dealer that's been here for year's. I'll be asking for these records, that's for sure.

The transmission fluid should be changed; I doubt that's been done.

I'll also do a carfax, anything else...?

well the list can be very long depending on what has already been done. common problems with that year, make and model are a bunch. front end peoblems very common(control arm bushings, various oil leaks almost certain after 50k, window regulators will fail often, blower motor resistor will fail, they have common cooling fan problems, power steering hoses known to leak after 4 or 5 years, the list goes on and on my friend.) I am also a first time bimmer owner and as much as I enjoy the luxery/sport package that they are, This will for sure be my last bmw. Be prepared to spend lots of loot on parts and service, scheduled and unscheduled maint. These cars are way over rated and over priced. I would research the car before buying it.
