Hey all,
My wife just returned from a 100 mile trip in her 2004 325i , 52k miles. Rained the whole way. When she pulled into our neighborhood, it seemed she could not turn the car to come up our street. Had to turn the wheel very hard to get it to turn into the driveway.
No lights came on, and no lights on after restart.
Is the cap to the right of the coolant tank cap, the powersteering fluid? Nothing in manual. Whatever that cap is, there seems to be alot of leekage around it Haven't looked at this engine in over a year, so don't know if that's how it usually looks.
The belt for the fans in front looks fine. Any ideas, or more things to look at?
Thank you for any assistance.
Just noticed the cap I was asking about is not to the right of the coolant tank cap. It's behind that cap, and to the left of the air filter. Sorry for confusion.

Just opened the cap for the p.s. fluid. There are 2 lines on the cap tube that sticks in the tank. The fluid is not reaching the 1st line. Should it be in between the 2 lines? Will any ATF fluid from the auto store be fine, or do you all recommend something?
Can't believe this is not in the manual.
Thanks for any help.
