Cool power loss

Ok I am looking for some insight. I have a 2001 330Xi and I am experiencing an intermittent power loss. while driving the car it feels as if it is running out of fuel, if I change throttle position the vehicle continues on as normal. I notice this more at cruising speeds. There is no check engine light on and there is no loss of acceleration
