PM on a 2000 323i

Hi all,

I just bought a new (new to me) 2000 323i Coupe with approximately 127.000 miles on it. I'm not to sure about what PM the previous owners have done so I would like any advise as to that type of PM I should do on this puppy. I have read here and on others BMW forums that people have suggested that the water pump, radiator hoses, belts, thermostat housing be replaced as PM. Any suggestions?

I would check all the things you mentioned including the battery. Have the plugs been changed? Check all the fluid levels I.E. oil, PS, brake fluid, etc. If you are doing the work yourself get a Bentley service manual. Things to watch out for are worn rear suspension parts. I own a 2000 323i and have replaced cracked rear coil springs, rear sway bar links and rear shocks. My car has approx. same mileage, too. Good luck and have fun with your car they are great cars!
