Please Please Help - Bumper

Hey guys...I was at the library and i was about to pull out, and since i was pulled up so far, i just was dumb and didnt realize that there was a curb in front of me. I started forward and i hear the HORRBILE crunching sound. I almost died. I pulled back and saw that there was a lot of damage to the plastic (black) that is under the bumper that the temp sensor in in and another sensor and there was one part of the inside of teh wheel well plastic that was about to come off. I was in shock! The short story is...how much is it to get new plastic at the dealership? I didnt think it would be TOO terribly much but i dont know - i am just SO sad about it. I'm taking it to the dealership...it is a 2002 330ci and i am just SICK about doing this. It is so painful. I hope its not much to fix since it does not have to be painted and you just have to screw it in and since all of the sensors are ok...

Not sure about the bimmer but the same happened to my old Jetta and the part was about $200 at the dealer so I'm sure it is much more for the bimmer. Good luck

Has no one ever scraped their bumper? lol - Anyone know the pricing for the BMW?

I don't know, but before you go, make sure you call around to all the dealers within a certain radius of your local. They all don't charge the same, trust me. Perhaps for just that one part it may, but you never know.

If you post the picture of your bumper...I can guesitmate the price....I've seen minor to extreme damage to bimmers....

Ah, f'n horrific isn't it?
The short story is a great body shop could replace the bumper jacket and repaint for over $600 US.
Here's my story:
I did the same thing within a month of buying my 2002 325Ci, same shocked reaction, utter disbelief. In my case, the bumper jacket (the part you see) was unhinged from the body, dangling in a most ugly fashion.
I didn't go to the dealer knowing they would ONLY work on it if EVERY part was perfect by the end of the labor. So, I went in search of a local body shop and found a brilliant 70 + year old frame straightener who replaced the black air dam you mentioned, and repositioned the bumper for $140 US. I was soooo grateful!
Then I got sloppy and did it again on the other side. Same deal.
Well, my man actually died the day before!
So I searched again to no avail. No one would "repair" it, only replace and repaint it.
I surrendered and went to the dealership recommended shop, and they surprisingly offered to repair it for $190!
Moral of the story:
These babies are expensive to own and this is just part of the upkeep. I will be MUCH more cautious, but won't beat myself up when I fuck-up next time. The lower front end looks and performs well, and she begs for better care.
