Is there a list of setting that can be set by the dealer that are activated by the indavidual keys? I have a '01 330i if it matters.

I do not know the entire list of items that can be programed, but there are a few that I had done to mine. You can have the daytime running lights turned on, the alarm activated (if you have it), the markers can flash when you unlock the car and the horn can sound, you can have both or one or the other, doors can lock automatically at 8 mph. These are the things that I had activated on my car but if there is more I am unsure, maybe the rest of the guys might know. Hope this helps. And welcome to the Forum.

key does seats and mirrors. i think the fxn requires initial activation by the dealer. rest (drl, alarm etc) is done by programing the car at dealer.

Is there a way to program user settings without bringing it to the dealership? i.e. different sequences of button depressions (like when initializing the key)? Thanks.
