Apparently someone decided to hit the back of my car (bumper) while parallel parking, leaving me with what looks like damage from a license plate that was on the front of their car. I have 5 phillips screw indentations and a little dent (I assume from their plate holder). The screws made little dents and broke the paint and the other dent is about and inch in length. Anyone ever have this/something similar happen to them and how much did it cost to get fixed? Do I go to the dealer or a friend? Thanks. ghead

yeah. unfortunately i just gotten used to having these round dents in my bumper.
a complete repair is about $250 to 400, and has to be done right with the correct paint additive (it needs to flex), and color matching etc etc. chances are you may end up with the whole bumper in a different shade of colour, and there is no way to spot repair these things, always looks like crap if you do it that way.

He's right. My rear bumper had a similar mishap. The dealer got it fixed for free ( as they thought it happened in their garage) and it's now exactly like new.
