paint job salvation

Guys i need your help so bad...i managed to spill quite a large a amount of superglue onto the paintwork of my beautiful AC Schnitzer replica BMW 320D. I did somereading up on the net yesterday and found a few articles advising the use of nail polish remover containing acetone to remove glue without damaging the paint........NEVER TRUST WHAT U READ ON THE NET - Present company excluded of course. It stripped the clear coat off. Luckily i was wise enough try in small out of the way part of the paintwork....but i couldn't sleep last night worrying about it guys.How the hell do i get this off without damaging my babys paintwork?? appreciate your input

If I were in your situation, & this magic eraser thing does not work.....I would try wetsanding it off, 1st with a 400 grit wet, then 800 grit wet, then 1500 grit wet, & then finish it off with the white finishing compound & wax.....be very careful to just wetsand the glue & be careful not to go thru the clearcoat....p.s. add a little baby shampoo to a bucket of water when sanding....
