Paint issues with 2011 Jet Black 328i

Just bought this car from a dealier in Athens, GA - Wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue - when looking at the paint in the direct sun, there appears to be residue in the paint left over from shipping wrap. It’s the only thing I can think of that it would be as the difference in the paint has a distinct linear movement down the side of the car…the “jet black” is smooth on (for example) the upper side and then a bit rough under the line with a slightly dirty look to the paint. You would not notice until the direct sun hits it…and of course I did. It’s on both sides of the car…mostly in the rear section.

I actually spoke with the previous owner of the car, so I’m confident no body or paint work has been done, etc. I was baffled as to what it could be until I read about someone having the same issue on the internet. Obviously waxing is not enough. Just need to know if a detailer could remove it? Thanks!

A friend of mine is a Detailer. Its quite possible that their is residue that is causing the issue. As I cant see the car its hard to say exactly what will be needed to remove it. I do recommend contacting a detailer and they can better explain how to fix it.
