Ordered My New Bmw

[BMW318is]

Hi all, this is only my third post so I am quite new to the forum and wanted to let you all know that soon I will be (again) an owner of a new BMW.

By (again) I mean I did own a 1994 318is coupe arctic silver but last year it was involved in an accident and was written off (totalled) by the insurance company as it was beyond economical repair.

Anyway enough of the history as now it's the future to look forward to...I have ordered a 316i ES, Titanium silver, 17" 225/45 8J alloys style 119, MAero dynamic bodykit. Can't wait. Delivery mid-late Dec 04.

From the models above you have probably guessed I am based in the UK. OK agreed the 316 does not nearly compare to the 325's and the 330's that most forummers own or discuss but I am still excited as it's still a beemer...

NICE , just in time for christmas...oh yeah did you get the metalic paint, rims and m aero kit for free?...that new offer by BMW UK

My parents ordered their 320d sport in mid august and were getting it this saturday, wooohhooo cant wait

Anyway trust me when your a week away from delivery you will crazy with excitment

Hehe, you're not alone. I used to own an arctic silver '94 316i which I sold a few months ago and bought a '05 316i. You'll observe major improvements in all areas. But the thing that impressed me most was the Dynamic Stability Control aka DSC. The car is unbelievable at high speed curves and sweepers. While the other cars slow down for the bend, I keep my foot on the throttle.

And btw, the interior new car smell is sooo pleasant!! Enjoy it!

Yep thats right. At first I was thinking of an approved used car about 1-1.5 years old depending on what I could afford. I kept searching for the perfect car and then I got an email from BMW UK (as I have registered for a newsletter) that they are doing this "Plus Package" which offers free met paint, rims, and aero kit. That was the turning point. Forget the approved used car and go for the brand new.

I am getting crazy with excitement now....wonder what I will feel a week from delivery.

Jaja Know the feeling!!! I'm waiting for mine, supposed to get here in 2 weeks, but I'm into the Owners Circle at bmwusa.com 2x a day...freaky!! I ordered a jet black 330i Performance Package, believe it's known for you guys as the M Sport or ZHF Package...dunno.... Anyway, does anyone know how long from the Carolina Plant to Puerto Rico? Or how long in the plant?
