Opinion of new designs

Having looked at the photos of the next generation 3 series (http://carspyshots.proboards2.com/in...=spy&start=180), my wife and I overwhelmingly prefer the present design E-46 and have orderd a 2004 225i.

This brings to mind the apparent uniformity of car designs. Take a look at this upcoming Lexus:

Now picture it with BMW's logo on the hood and twin kidney grill. Car desigtns seem to converging on similar designs. In the animal kingdom, some animals do this; the shark and dolphin for example. It's called "convergent evolution."

Although I don't care for his designs, maybe that's what Chris Bangle is trying to prevent with his designs.

well most companies steal other companies designs... its not really a bad thing but it just happens


look at apple computers... everyone steals from them....
