Oil Change

Hey guys, my mom's 2004 325xi needs an oil change and i was wondering what kind of oil and what viscosity to use. also, what kind of oil filter? any help would be appreciated.

The oil weight is sometimes (should be) marked on the oil fill cap. Personally, I'd use an OEM filter.

sprintman is on a distinguished road
Oil must meet ACEA A3,B3 and LL01. It's written on the bottle/jug so pretty hard to get it wrong. Remember most XW30 oils do NOT meet spec.
