OEM versus factory/style wheels - BMW Forum

I am looking into replacing my staggered ZHP wheels (style 135) as the repairs on the curb rashes are showing and the clear coat is peeling. This is bothering me a lot.. The dealerships are asking 2k for the set of 4 or about 500 a piece.

However I came across several websites where they are selling the same wheels for about 200 and most of them term as "factory" or "style" versus "OEM" while others do not even mention anything

There are significant difference in the price but what about the quality, problems and duralibity?

get the cheapies,ur only gonna kerb em.I spent £700 on a set of wheels n tyres and regret being so dumb,the rims are gashed to fuck after 3 years. Or buy second hand.Or if u is minted get some pricey ones.

Try to stick with OEM, cheapie Chinese wheels will warp, bend or crack if you drive on anything but the Autobahn. Take a look at a set of style 162 wheels from a 335 or 328 e90.
Get them used for less than $1k. These are 18" which is IMHO the best size for an e46
