OBC for 1999 323i - BMW Forum

Hey all!
I just bought a used '99 323i and was suprised to find that it has to have the OBC option to give info such as the outside temperature. Even my '95 318i has this. Does anyone know ...IF... and how I would go about getting the on board computer put into my car?

Do you have a button in the turn signal lever? if yes, press it briefly to go to different setting.... if you do not have this button , there is no OBC on your car.

If not, it's not a cheap retrofit

My car 00 323i didn't come with one either. I just waited until a turn signal stock with the button popped up on ebay. I think I paid around $50 for it but you still need to get the dealer to code it for you which shouldn't take more than 1/2 hour. I had the coding procedures according to the Modic but can't seem to find them now in case you dealer tries to tell you it can't be done.

I got the 18 Buton OBC for sale. It is working fine with all good pixels. Let me know if you need the one.
