I have searched and found no answer, I have a 2001 330ci with 100,000 miles on her. I drive her a little aggressive sometimes and have noticed that after I park and shut the car off the cooling fan stays on for 3-5min. My temp gauge is always in the middle after warm up and it usually takes no more then five min to warm up. Is it normal for the fan to stay on after turning the car off?

im pretty sure i remember reading somewhre that the fan can run for up to 11 minutes after shutdown to ensure proper cool down of the engine, i wouldnt worry too much about it unless its running to the point where it completly drains your battery
