I own a BMW 325Ci MY 2002. The roof seems to creak when going over a bump on the road. I have a 2 way electric moon roof. The moon roof is completely closed when this happens. In fact all windows are closed and the auto air climate control is on 22C. The temperature outside is about 14C. Can anyone help with this problem or at least has experienced the same problem ?

I don't have direct experience on your type car, but I can give you a few pointers to look at.

Basic cleaning and lubrication of the moonroof seal and mechanism to start. You can lube the seal with silicone spray or an Armor All type protectant. These are better than oil based spray lubes like WD-40 for rubber seals.

My Yukon had a cold weather only creak at the driver door about where the side view mirror is. It took me awhile to figure it out since it only happened under certain conditions. Turns out the door edge in one area was contacting the A pillar plastic trim. So I installed a thin piece of rubber to sandwhich between the two pieces.

Good Luck!

Hi, I'm having the same issue on my 2002 325 CIC. I was wondering if you were able to figure out the issue?
