I did a complete cooling system overhaul several months ago. Lately I am hearing alot of ratling noise and when I grabed the fan it has alot of play where it's attached to the Fan Clutch. Is this a sign that it needs to be changed? The car has 75000 miles on it. See pictures. Please tell me what you think!!!??
Sooner rather than later!! If its wobbling around too much under high revs the fan blades may shatter and do the best to escape through anything in their path, i.e. bonnet, radiator hoses, belts etc. Especially bad if you happen to be standing in front of it with the hood up at the time. Do not delay this repair!
It took me about an hour to replace the Fan Clutch!! No more rattling noise. I am glad I caught that before it caused more problems. Thank you guys for your comments!!
