noise after tints

I got my windows tinted almost 2 weeks ago. and i noticed that when i open my windows if they're wet from rain or soemthin it makes an annoying sound when opening and closing. Also i just noticed yesterday a line going vertical on the driver side window, its like some kind of grease or something from inside the door i'm guessing. Anyboody know whats causing this and how i can rid myself of these two annoyances. thanx.

I had a similar problem, bad squeeking noise and lines on the windows. I replaced my regulators and it went away. I cant say for sure if that what your problem is but it worked for me. Good Luck

what are the regulators that you are talking about. is it an easy thing to do or do i have to take it to the dealership to do it.

This was a problem on the 350 Z. It is grease that sticks to the windows. You will probably have to have the dealership fix it and since it happened after the tint, you probably will have to pay for it. It is a bothersome problem indeed. ghead

I remember when I had mine tinted about 3 months ago the installer said I should make a solution of soapy water and spray it around the rubber moldings on the bottom of the window before lowering the first time. I assume this helps prevent sticking and aids in ease of motion. Any way, mine don't make noise...just the ocassional creak mentioned in earlier posts.

I have had no problems with mine, I was told not to put the windows down for 3 days. No sounds whatsoever. No streaks either.
