newby needs help

HI ALL, I OWN A 2000 BMW MANUAL 318i, E46 , ID LIKE TO KNOW PLEASE GUYS OIL SENSOR LIGHT COMES ON WHEN ITS COLD,FOR A FEW SECONDS [ BEEN READING THE FORUM THREADS AND IT SEEMS ITS A COMMON PROB, JUST LIKE TO KNOW THE ACTUAL REPLACEMENT PART [WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE PLEASE and is it easy to replace ? and if anyone can direct me to a seller of this part becides bmw manufacturer many thanks all

You are correct, if the yellow oil light comes on for a little bit after starting, they say it is the oil level sensor located on the bottom of the oil pan. Cost is about $90.00 but don't know the cheapest place to get one. I have decided not to mess with mine at this time. If you check your oil level regularly, don't worry about it.
