My service engine light just came on just after 50k miles. I wanted to know from you guys how to reset the the light. Could someone point me in the right direction to finding how to reset it.

You need to go to the dealer, your car is run by a computer...they hook up your car to a computer to figure out what is wrong with your car. You probably have an oil change...or some regualar/normal update that needs to be taken care of.
