I just bought my new 2005 325i Saturday -- traded in my Camry -- I have always wanted a BMW so decided to give the gift to myself......
I'm not having buyers remorse; however, I read something on another forum that "concerns" me. It said that someone who wants a dependable car to get them from point a to point b shouldn't get a BMW because it is so high maintenance and undependable.
Yikes! I know it is expensive to maintain outside of the warranty/maintenance agt; however, I do drive it to work (about 10 miles round trip) and not much else on a daily basis. I am not a high performance driver but I just LOVE the feel, the handling, the style, the reputation of the BMW.
Are BMW's really undependable? Is my BMW going to be wasted on me since I drive it to work daily? Do I need to make sure and drive it hard at on a regular basis for it to be "happy"?
I am totally in love with it! I want it to love me back!

from reading your post, you might want to start going to college 5 days a week...
But yeah, if you take care of your BMW, it will take good care of you.

What are you worried about anyways???? ITS A BRAND NEW CAR. You have the 3 year 36,000 service.....4 year 50,000 bumper to bumper........so if in case it does go wrong......youll get a new one anyways or they pay for it.......all you pay for is oil change every 5000k and that is about 30 bucks more expensive than it would be for a Camry, but yu ARE driving a BMW
People on this forum and others have used cars that they have bought after 40-60,000 miles on them and are running fine......so dont sweat it and dont ever listen to "THEY SAY"....cause "THEY" are usually the ones who know the least. I have never ever met a BMW owner who said he did not like his ride......LOL...anyways enjoy the ride and dont worry about whats gonna happen. YOU WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER CAR EVER.
