New Car Oil Change?

I just got a '04 325i Jet black. It was a demo had 1200 miles when I got it. My question is when do you all think the first oil change should be? I will change it every 5000-7500miles my self. But my question is should the first oil change be before that? You know that (Break-In) period? What oil do you all use also I was thinking Mobil One Sync or Castrol Sync 5w-30. Any help would be appreciated.

the break in period should be listed in your owners manual, you should use Mobil one 0w-40 synthetic "european car formula"

SD325i. You can safely go to 5000-7500 miles on the
original oil from the factory for your first change. Do
not use castrol syntec 5w30 or Mobil 1 5w30/10w30
for these oils DO NOT meet the BMW long life A3 specs.
Use either the BMW 5w30 A3 rated oil or like what
white 330 ci stated, Mobil 1 0w40. Also, do not go
by the 15000 mile (25000 km) interval. No synthetic
will last that long and protec your engine.
