new 325i owner needs advices!!!

I just bought a 325i last month and totally new to BMW maintenance . Could you guys recommend me some regular exterior/interior treatments for Texas heat with no garage cover? I heard some good thing about NU Finish. Is it any good? What's better between wax and polish ? My understanding is the car already came with the manufacture security system. Is it enough or should I get a more sophisticated one since my apartment doesn't have a gate or entry system. Thanks for all the comments. I really appreciate your help.

Just so people dont freak out.. but this is what I do when I first buy a car... if its used of course...

First off.... about the exterior treatment... I've found that the Miguires 3 step wax process does wonders.... I'd try that.... You might even want to look into buying a car cover... keep the sun off of it when your not driving it... that might help... it certainly keep some UV rays from dulling your paint...

Well back to what I do when I first buy a used car.
First I take it and get a tune up.... (new spark plugs... oil.. filters...ect) I'd run the tank down almost empty.. and put some injector cleaner in there... to burn some bad shit out.... I use.. Lucas injector cleaner.... that works good. Then I'd get the tires balanced and rotated if they needed it... then I'd drive it for a month... and do the same the over again...

Oh and I'd jack the car up and see how the under body looks... you can tell a lot that way... look at the suspension... look at the wear on the tires... inside wear or outside wear.. can tell you something about what shape your suspension is in... make sure your exaust is hung right... not floppin around....

I'd also say take it to a dealer and have them check it out... that might help.
