Thumbs up

I just bought a 2000 BMW 323iT with 54,000 miles and I have a ton of questions. Many of them I think I can find the answers to on this board, but here are a few I haven't seen:
1 - Power steering. What is up wwith BMW power steering? It seems like the boost is higher at highway speeds then parking lot speeds. My old Toyota shuts down the boost over about 30 MPH. Can I turn down the assist somehow?
2 - Brakes . The brake pedal is too far off the floor in comparison to the gas pedal. Is there any adjustment for the resting position of the brake pedal? Also the brakes seem kind of "grabby". Can you put on different pads that need a little more effort?
3 - Alarm. I have the "clown nose" light on the rear-view mirror, but evidently no alarm. How hard is it to add an alarm?
4 - Remote starter. Can this car use a remote starter? I am thinking the system with the electronic keys may prevent that.

THANKS!
Joe

ABout the clown nose. I called my dealer about putting it in and they said there are much better alarm systems out there that will do much better than the factory alarm and didn't recomment me getting it. However they did turn on the lights to blink when I lock the car with remote and then the clown nose blinks like it has an alarm. They also set it so my doors would auto lock after 8 MPH. The said on the phone that they would have to charge me a half hour of labor to do so, but when I took it in for the oil change the did it for free for me.

Don't know much about your other questions, mine seems to drive great. Let me know if you do get the auto start and the cost though.
