need help please !

While driving, check the engine light came on.Now car is shaking when idling with thumping sound, but rpm are not affected any way(stable as usual).Any idea please?

YOu will need to have the codes read on your car. In Germany, I don't know if there is anywhere where you can have that done for free

Can you go into further detail regarding your problem? How does teh car drive? Does it sputter and shake, etc.? For some reason I am thinking misfiring, but a check engine light can mean any of several things.

"sputter and shake"-that is exactly what is happening,but as I said, RPM are perfectly in tact.While driving above 40mph you can not feel anything is wrong ,except thumping sounda(like something is out of balance).

Oh yeah, the rpm will not be affected. Cylinder misfires are very often linked to bad spark plugs or coils. I would first make sure and get the codes pulled, even if that meant having to pay for it.

Problem found and solved !I have replaced a coil on fifth cylinder and instal a new thermostat.
