I should be getting some new wheels soon and need some tires to match. I have a 2000 323Ci w/ sports package and would like some all weather tires. I live in MD and it rains frequently and the past few years, we have had some snow (my car did not do so well last year). Anyways, any advice as to which brand/model is best, I would really appreciate it. Also, if you know a good place to look for tires, that would also help. ***I've already looked on tirerack.com***
A lot of people use the Michelin Pilot A/S 225/45-17 , they boast of superior wet and dry performance... This is a sport tire, so if you are thinking snow, count them out. Otherwise, this is supposed to be a very good tire, plus it has a slick tread design
I just replaced my michelin Primacy tires with Michelin Pilot A/S. The difference is night and day. When the Primacy's were worn, they were extremely noisy. They were also horrible in snow. The Pilots are as smooth as glass, quiet and feel great, granted, I am comparing new to worn. I'm hoping that the all season nature of the tire will give me better traction in the snow. Give me six months and I'll let you know.
